How does the Every Other Day Diet work?

  • The Every Other Day Diet fat loss program works through a mix of “feed” and “burn” days.On “feed” days, you eat more than your body needs of just about anything you like, within reason (guidelines provided).On “burn” days, you eat less than you need, sticking to low calorie, high fiber foods, vegetables, very lean meats and so on.This feed-burn approach varies both the amount and types of foods (fats, carbohydrates and proteins) consumed, keeping your metabolism on its toes so it is always running high and burning up fat.
  • The Every Other Day Diet is actually five different plans each with a different mix (or schedule) of feed and burn days.The “Primer” plan is the simplest – this is the “every other day” plan with one burn day, one feed day.You can then move on to the “Lifestyle 1” plan which gives you two days off (feed days) a week, and “Lifestyle 2” plan and (totally optional) continue through to the EODD “Ultimate” and “Extreme” levels – advanced plans for fat loss, fitness and muscle building.
  • You can start with any level you like – a guide in the program will help you choose the best starting point, usually the Primer or Lifestyle 1 plan.
  • There is no calorie counting involved in any of the levels. The plan includes the “SNAPP!” system – a quick and easy way to work out what and how much you can eat.
  • You eat four meals a day, with an additional snack on burn days.
